Community Closet

A dignified way to connect individuals and families with clothing and everyday necessities.

What the Closet can help with

  • Adult and children’s clothing and shoes
  • School and work clothing
  • Hygiene and personal-care items
  • Emergency clothing assistance

Items and visits depend on current inventory, capacity, and individual needs. You can send a visit request now; E.V.E. will follow up when an arrangement can be confirmed. Please contact us before bringing a donation or traveling to a location.

For community partners

E.V.E. works with organizations on referrals, donation drives, volunteer days, and resource sharing. Referrals and client information are handled privately.

Room to grow

Help us find a place to welcome neighbors.

Shopping is currently by confirmed appointment. Our next goal is a space with regular public hours where people can browse clothing and essentials with freedom and dignity. We also need room to receive, sort, and store donations. We welcome conversations with property owners and community partners about donated, shared, or affordable space in the greater Birmingham area.

Current status: There are no walk-in hours or public drop-off hours. E.V.E. shares the location and time after confirming each visit. Please wait for those details before traveling.
Two ways to reach us

Find the right request.

If you need clothing or essentials, tell us what you need. E.V.E. will follow up about availability and a possible visit or other arrangement.

Have items to give?

Tell us about the clothing or essentials you can offer. We will review current needs and coordinate a pickup or drop-off if we can accept them.

See the item donation guide →

Contribute goods

Give items people can use.

Clean, wearable clothing, shoes, coats, and new essentials can support neighbors directly. E.V.E. may also select donated items for fundraising sales that support its community work. See the current item guide before offering a donation.

Please wait for a confirmed pickup or drop-off arrangement before bringing items anywhere.
