Essence of Virtuous Elegance serves individuals and families with dignity, practical support, and community connection.
Where we are beginning
Our Community Closet is the first active program. It focuses on clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and school or work essentials. We collaborate with neighbors, volunteers, and community partners to respond to needs within our capacity.
E.V.E. also has longer-term goals in food access, youth programming, and housing. Those programs will be described in detail as they launch.

Sheayona Sterling
Sheayona Sterling founded Essence of Virtuous Elegance (E.V.E.) to help individuals and families access practical support with dignity. Through the E.V.E. Community Closet, she is building a way to provide clothing and everyday essentials while growing partnerships that strengthen the community.
Sheayona’s vision is for E.V.E. to become a welcoming place where people can find support, connection, and opportunities to move forward.
Our community history
827 Jamboree
At this free family event with food, music, and local vendors, E.V.E. was featured as a community beneficiary. The original flyer announced that a percentage of proceeds would go toward E.V.E.
Practical help
Alongside another nonprofit partner, E.V.E. helped deliver a refrigerator to a family. The Community Closet has gathered clothing and shoes for neighbors.
Short-term housing
E.V.E. has provided short-term housing for two individuals. Future housing efforts are still being developed.
We are gathering our past photos and event records as we rebuild E.V.E.’s online home.
Community partners
Z Stay Housing Solutions
E.V.E. collaborates with Z Stay Housing Solutions to help connect eligible individuals and families with clothing and essential items, subject to availability. The organizations may also work together on community outreach and resource sharing by mutual agreement.
