Care that meets people where they are.
Our Community Closet helps individuals and families access clothing, shoes, and everyday essentials with dignity.

A practical place to begin
The Community Closet is E.V.E.’s first operational program. We work with neighbors and community partners to connect people with needed items, subject to availability.

Clothing for adults and children, shoes, school and work clothing, hygiene items, and emergency clothing assistance.
Partnerships, volunteers, and donated goods help us serve more neighbors.
There is a place for you here.
Volunteer
Offer your time with sorting, organizing, drives, and community activities.
Partner
Connect with E.V.E. around referrals, donation drives, and group service.
A welcoming home for the Closet
Community Closet shopping is available by confirmed appointment. E.V.E. is seeking an accessible space in the greater Birmingham area for regular public hours, organized browsing, and volunteer sorting. A donated space, shared space, or affordable partnership could help us grow this work.
What the space needs
- Room for clothing racks and organized browsing
- Secure storage for donated items
- Space for volunteers to sort and prepare donations
- Safe, accessible entry for visitors
For now, request a visit and wait for E.V.E. to confirm a time and share the location. Public walk-in hours are not available.
Dignity belongs in every interaction.
